"I’m a lawyer. I called and cancelled my State Farm auto insurance on March 21 and then again on April 9th. I’m still getting billed by these fraudsters. We all know about the giant scam they are running in this state. 🏃♀️ from them! I’m going to file a complaint today with multiple agencies to launch multiple investigations into their racket. Good luck!"

I know rising risk is frustrating for customers who are facing rising costs of insurance. I joined State Farm because it is a mutual insurance company (which means it is owned by its customers). We do not have a profit motive, and our only goal is to sustainably serve customers with the promise of insurance. I guarantee we are not trying to scam the state, we only wish to remain financially sustainable in the state and continue to exist here. For that to happen, we need the money paid by customers to equal the money we pay out to customers in claims. Unfortunately, the way the insurance market (currently) works in CA, this is not happening or possible. I highly recommend deepening your understanding of the issues, so you can advocate for yourself with your elected representatives, so we can work our way out of this crisis together. I spend a lot of time educating customers and politicians, so we can see the changes needed for the promise of insurance to remain possible in the great state of California. "It has taken nine months to get a change made to an existing homeowner’s policy. Jay made no effort to follow up on several promised quotes after an initial policy review in late 2023, and shows little interest."
"Hi Maggie, I believe in taking responsibility for mistakes. In your case, the time it took me to delegate and assign tasks to my team took a lot longer than it should. Subsequently, when you got back to us with your decisions about what changes you wanted to make, there were further delays in getting those requests over to State Farm and in getting State Farm to execute those changes. We have been through some staff instability earlier this year (3 of our 5 staff were let go due to similar issues). That caused over 1,100 tasks to fall behind. I am glad to report as of 8/30/24, our backlog of tasks is now only about 1-2 days behind, so we can get to most things "same day" or "next day". I apologize that your experience hasn't been at the level we take pride in offering; and I do hope we get to show what working with us is like in the future. "Jay took the time to deeply explore each of my policies with me - home, auto, and earthquake. Using information I always had available, that my previous agent had not asked for or used, Jay was able to find discounts on auto, home, and earthquake policies, that added up to a considerable amount. I felt I finally had an energetic insurance agent, who was conversant with all the fine points of available coverages, and could present me with the information to make beneficial adjustments, in an easy and comprehensible way. His entire office has also followed up quickly with updates, and I could not be more appreciative."

"This agent cancelled my State Farm insurance policy without even notifying me, despite being a loyal State Farm member for 6 years. It saddens me that I have to switch to a more reliable insurance company (GEICO). And if you think this review is illegitimate, I have email proof, picture of policy disappearing from State Farm website, lack of billing statement, which randomly stopped on 6/20/24, as well as phone call discussion with State Farm customer service stating the policy was terminated by State Farm themselves on 6/20/24, stating I'd have to reach out to my agent to figure out why they cancelled my policy. If you want an insurance company that will randomly cancel your policy without telling you, this is the place to go."

I do apologize for the delays in how slowly State Farm is processing changes, but I can assure you once it is processed, everything will be back to normal. I know asking for ‘patience’ as State Farm processes the reinstatement of your policy can be a lot to ask, but we’d love to keep you with State Farm with your 33% loyalty discount that you’ve earned with us all these years. "Edit: I’m a former customer. My family left due to the unprofessionalism and inability to reach Jay directly. He’s neither ever in the office or available for calls, any and all requests seem to be streamlined through his STAFF and his STAFF only. I am correcting this to say-my REQUESTS would go unanswered frequently and this place ALWAYS seems disorganized and dysfunctional. if you want your policy changes done in a timely manner (I’m talking like, instead of having to call a MONTH later and find out my request to add a driver STILL hadn’t been done) and done correctly the first time, don’t use this office."
"This review is fake. It was placed on here in retaliation to a 1-star review I placed on Planet Cars in Fairfield; when their sales manager, Deepak, showed up at our office and threatened my staff. A police report was filed with Albany PD; but Deepak has chosen to continue exhibiting destructive behavior. Please look into the integrity of this 'reviewer' before assuming the review is legitimate; and judge my team on the merits of the overwhelmingly positive legitimate reviews we have earned delivering exceptional service to our customers.
